About SAIS Connect
SAIS Connect is your direct line to peers across the association. Whether you have a question that needs a quick answer, want to share a resource that worked at your school, or simply want to stay connected to what other school leaders are thinking about, this is where those conversations happen.
New to SAIS Connect? Here’s what you need to know.
SAIS Connect includes communities for most school roles, from heads of school and business officers to admissions directors, faculty, division leaders, and more.
- Use your SAIS account credentials to log in.
- Each community has a dedicated email address for posting messages directly from your inbox.
- You can control how often you receive messages: as they’re sent, in a daily digest, or as a weekly digest. Update your preferences at any time using the “modify your subscription” link at the bottom of any community email.

SAIS Connect: Community Guidelines
SAIS Connect works best when members engage thoughtfully and in good faith. Please keep the following in mind:
- Post only to the community address. Do not copy outside email addresses when sending or replying to a community message.
- Reply with intention. When you reply to a message, your response goes to the entire community. If your reply is meant for one person, address it to them directly.
- Keep it relevant. Save thank-you messages for private replies, and use clear, descriptive subject lines so members can quickly understand what you’re asking or sharing.
- Keep it collegial. SAIS Connect is a space for exchanging ideas, not for solicitations or promotional content.
- Respect confidentiality. Content shared within SAIS Connect communities is intended for members only. Please do not redistribute messages or resources outside the community without permission.
A Note on Anti-Trust
Because our communities include school leaders discussing topics like compensation, tuition, enrollment, and staffing, it’s important that conversations stay within legal boundaries.
Please avoid discussions that touch on
- Specific fees, tuition levels, or salary amounts.
- Raise amounts or compensation structures.
- Dividing students, families, or territories among schools.
- Identifying specific individuals in personnel matters.
This isn’t meant to limit good professional exchange but to protect you and your school. When in doubt, keep the conversation general. SAIS reserves the right to suspend access for members whose posts cross into these areas.
Terms of Use
By participating in SAIS Connect or any SAIS online community, whether by sending, receiving, or reading messages; posting or commenting on content; or engaging in discussion in any form, you agree to the following terms.
In plain terms: You are responsible for what you post, SAIS does not moderate or control member-generated content, and content that SAIS determines to be inappropriate may be removed without notice.
The full terms are as follows:
- I will not send, re-send, or disseminate any material that is defamatory or otherwise actionable.
- I acknowledge that it would be impractical and undesirable for SAIS Connect and other SAIS online communities to be moderated, censored, or controlled by SAIS, its employees, officers, directors, or any other third party. I agree that I am solely responsible for the contents of any message I send or disseminate, and I am not relying on SAIS or any other person to monitor, edit, or control the messages I choose to send or receive.
- I will hold SAIS, and its directors, officers, members, employees, agents, and service providers (collectively, “SAIS”) harmless, and will fully indemnify SAIS in respect of any legal demands, proceedings, or claims brought against SAIS by any party — including indemnifying SAIS for all legal costs on a full indemnity basis — arising from (a) any message, link, resource, comment, or content I send, post, re-send, or disseminate, or (b) any failure on my part to maintain confidentiality as described above.
- I will not institute legal proceedings of any type against SAIS or its officers, directors, employees, agents, or service providers in respect of any message published on SAIS Connect or any other SAIS online presence.
- I will not institute legal proceedings of any type against any SAIS member in respect of any message, link, resource, comment, or content published on SAIS Connect or any SAIS online presence, except as necessary to enforce the indemnification provisions in item 4 above.
- I understand that any content deemed inappropriate by SAIS staff may be removed without prior notice.
- I agree that all content submitted is the sole responsibility of the person who submitted it. SAIS does not control member-submitted content and does not guarantee its accuracy, integrity, or quality. SAIS will not be liable for any errors, omissions, or damages of any kind arising from use of this community.
